Role Purpose
Design, implement and assure electrical infrastructure including electrical systems related to Electrical Vehicle Charging infrastructure. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create sustainable and efficient charging solutions playing a pivotal role in driving the expansion of the UK’s EV charging infrastructure and fulfilling sustainable transportation goals.
Role
- Plan and design electrical systems, adhering to relevant safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with external parties including architects, civil engineers, and urban planners to integrate electrical solutions into new and existing developments.
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess the electrical capacity and suitability of locations
- Oversee installation of electrical components, assuring compliance with specifications and safety protocols.
- Perform tests and inspections to verify correct functioning after installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems.
The candidate
Essential
- Proven experience in electrical engineering
- Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards in the UK.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools used for electrical design and simulation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with a diverse team and engage with stakeholders at various levels.
Desirable
- Experience of power distribution systems or renewable energy integration.
- Familiarity with EV charging technologies, standards, and protocols (e.g., CCS, CHAdeMO, AC charging, DC fast charging).
- Understanding / experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems and Solar Panels / Farms
